A heritage walk through Thimi, the city of potters, with heritage explorer and storyteller Saurav Thapa Shrestha, organised by Red String. Route: Kwalakhu Dyah (Balkumari Temple) · Sungaa dyah (Vishnubir) · the cluster of Buddhist monasteries · Layaku (old palace quarter) · Nigu Pukhu (Dui Pokhari) · Siddhikali Temple · Pottery Square. Along the way: the Astamatrikas, Astabhairavs and Sthan Ganesh, Newar settlement patterns (chuka, nani) and architecture (falcha, dabu, hiti). Bring a camera, sketchbook or notebook.
