Terms of Sale
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a ticket for an event through Kata Jaam?'s checkout and pay online through Fonepay. You agree to them when you tick the box above the Pay button.
They sit alongside our Terms of Use, our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy.
Free registrations, and forms where you pay the organizer by their own QR, are not sales through us. Those are covered by the Terms of Use.
Who you are buying from
Every event is run by its organizer. The organizer is named on the event page and at checkout. They put on the event and decide what your ticket gets you.
Kata Jaam? sells the ticket for the organizer, as their sales agent. Neo Holdings Pvt. Ltd. is the company behind Kata Jaam? and the merchant on Fonepay, so its name is what your bank app and your statement show.
We are an intermediary: we do not run the event. But we stand behind the sale — see "If something goes wrong" below. Our company details are on Business details.
The price
The price on the ticket is the price you pay. It includes any tax the organizer charges on the ticket.
There is no booking fee, no service charge and nothing added at checkout. We never take more than the total shown above the Pay button.
Whatever we earn comes out of the organizer's share, never on top of your price.
Paying, and your pass
You pay through Fonepay with your bank app or a QR code. We never see or store your card, wallet or banking login.
When you start checkout we hold your tickets for a short time, shown as a countdown. If the payment does not finish in that time, the tickets go back on sale. If your bank took the money anyway, we either issue your ticket or refund you in full.
As soon as the payment is confirmed you get your pass on screen and a receipt by email. The receipt names the event, the organizer, us as the seller, what you paid and when.
Your pass is a QR code. Each code lets one person in, once. Keep it to yourself: whoever shows it first gets in.
Your tick at checkout, the payment and the receipt together are our agreement. You can keep the email as your copy.
Your details and the organizer
To run the event, the organizer needs to know who is coming. With your consent at checkout, we share your name, phone number, email and any answers you give on the form with the organizer of that event.
They may use it to run that event: checking you in, telling you about a change, answering you. They may not use it for marketing unless you agree to that with them separately.
How we look after your data is in our Privacy Policy.
Refunds
Each event has its own refund rule, set by the organizer and shown in plain words right above the Pay button: no refunds, case by case, up to 1 day before, or up to 7 days before.
Whatever the rule, two things always apply to a ticket bought through us:
- If the event is cancelled, you get a full refund of what you paid, including any tax. We pay it within 7 days of you giving us an account to send it to.
- If the date or the venue changes, your ticket stays valid. If the new date or place does not work for you, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of us telling you about the change.
A refund covers the whole order and goes to a bank, eSewa or Khalti account you give us. The details are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
At the event
The organizer and the venue set the rules on the night: age limits, ID checks, what you can bring. Anything that decides whether you get in should be on the event page before you buy.
If you are refused entry for a reason the event page stated in advance, the event's own refund rule applies. If you are refused entry with a valid pass for any other reason, write to us.
If something goes wrong
Message the organizer first, from your pass or your registration. Most things are sorted there.
If the event was not what the listing said, or the organizer does not answer, write to us. We do not hide behind the organizer. Where a refund or other remedy is due to you under these terms or the law, we give it to you and settle with the organizer ourselves.
To make a formal complaint, use the complaint form. You get a complaint number at once and a decision, with reasons, within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you can take it to the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection.
What each side is responsible for
We are responsible for the sale: taking your payment correctly, issuing a pass that works, keeping your data safe, and refunding you when these terms or the law say so.
The organizer is responsible for the event itself: the show, the venue, the permits and safety on the night. When something about the event goes wrong, we still deal with you, and recover what we pay out from the organizer.
Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under Nepal's consumer protection or e-commerce law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. If a dispute cannot be settled through the complaint process, the courts in Kathmandu decide it.
Changes and contact
When these terms change we update this page and the date at the top. The terms you agreed to when you bought a ticket are the ones that apply to that ticket.
