These are the terms for using Kata Jaam? — the app, katajaam.com and the organizer portal. Using any of them means you agree to what is written here. It is short on purpose. If something is unclear, write to us.

What Kata Jaam? is

Kata Jaam? is a place to find what's on in Nepal and register for it. We list events posted publicly by venues and organizers, and events organizers add themselves through the organizer portal.

We are the listing and the registration form. We do not run the events.

Listings

The organizer is the source of every listing. Times, prices and venues can change, and a poster can be wrong. Check with the organizer before you travel or pay.

An organizer can claim their listing at any time from katajaam.com/organizers, and anyone can ask for a listing to be taken down from the event's own page. We credit the organizer on every event we list.

Registering for an event

A registration is between you and the organizer. We pass your name, phone, email and answers to the organizer of that event so they can run it.

Some forms are free. Some ask you to pay the organizer by QR, bank app or at the door. That money goes to the organizer. Kata Jaam? never receives or holds it, and cannot refund it. The organizer checks your payment and issues your pass; until they do, your registration is not a pass.

Refunds, changes, transfers and disputes about an event or a payment are between you and the organizer. Message them from your registration in the app or from the confirmation email — every registration has a thread with the organizer.

If something on our side broke — a pass that will not open, a form that will not submit, a code that will not scan — write to katajaam.app@gmail.com with the registration id and we will sort it out.

Paying online through Kata Jaam?

This section applies once online payment is switched on. It is not on today.

When an event takes online payment through Kata Jaam? (for example through Khalti), we collect the money on the organizer's behalf and pass it on to them. The organizer's refund policy applies. A refund, where one is due, goes back the way it came, through us. If a booking fee applies, you see it before you pay.

For organizers

You are responsible for your event and for the money you collect through a form on Kata Jaam?. You answer the people who register with you, you keep your listing accurate, and you only collect what the form says you will.

When you set up a payment QR you tick an acknowledgement that payments go straight to you, that refunds, changes and disputes are yours to handle, and that Kata Jaam? never holds this money. That acknowledgement is part of these terms.

We may remove a listing, a form or an account that misleads people, and we may decline to list an event.

Your account

You can sign in with a phone number, an email address, Google or Apple. You can delete your account and what belongs to it from katajaam.com/delete-account or from the app's settings.

What we are not responsible for

We do not run the events. A cancelled, moved or changed event is the organizer's to make right. We do our best to keep the listings accurate and the service running, but we cannot promise either, and we are not liable for a loss that comes from an event, a listing or a payment made to an organizer.
