Short
Kata Jaam? (Nepali for โwhere shall we go?โ) is an event discovery platform built for Kathmandu. It gathers what's happening across the valley โ live music, nightlife, food, art, culture, sports and tech โ into one place you can search by tonight, this weekend, category, price or distance. Organizers publish and manage their listings free through a portal; people mark what they're interested in, form โcrewsโ to go together, and get a weekend roundup. Kata Jaam? is available on iOS, Android and at katajaam.com.
How listings work
Where events come from
Organizers post directly through the organizer portal, and we also list events announced publicly around Kathmandu โ ticket sites, venue pages, Instagram โ with credit and a link to whoever is running them.
What we vouch for
Every event page states how far we've verified it โ organizer-published, checked by us against the organizer's own post, or listed as announced. Times, prices and venues can change; the page always links out to who can confirm.
Removal, no login needed
Any organizer can claim their listing, edit it, or ask for it to be taken down from the event page itself โ no account, no DM required.
Free for organizers
Listing is free. Organizers get audience numbers (reached, opened, engaged) for each event, and can sell tickets through the site with no commission.
Link to Kata Jaam?
Run a venue, a band, a community or a blog? Two things you can paste into your site. Both link to katajaam.com, which is how search engines learn the two are related โ and how your readers find the full listing, the crew chat and tickets.
1. The badge
Plain HTML, works anywhere (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, a hand-written page). Organizers get a per-event version in the portal.
2. The live events widget
Your venue's next few events, kept up to date by us. Replace your-venue-slug with the last part of your venue's page URL on katajaam.com/venues (for example moksh). Keep the โSee all eventsโ line under it โ that line is the link.
Brand
The name is Kata Jaam? โ two words, capital K and J, and the question mark is part of it. In Devanagari: เคเคคเคพ เคเคพเคฎ? Please don't write โKataJaamโ or drop the โ?โ in headlines.
