Event tickets in Nepal, and where to buy each one

Tickets in Nepal are spread across a handful of apps and websites, and each one shows only its own events. Here is every upcoming show with tickets in one list: concerts, comedy, theatre, parties and festivals, with the price and the place you buy it. How buying a ticket works in Nepal
Buy where the organizer sells. Every event here links to the seller the organizer chose. A screenshot of someone else's ticket is not a ticket: a QR is usually scanned once, and the second person at the door is turned away.
Pay the way the seller takes. On Kata Jaam? that is any bank app, by scanning a Fonepay QR. Wallet sellers take their own wallet, and some sites take cards.
Keep the QR. Your ticket arrives by email or in the seller's app. Save it before the night, because a venue basement is not where you want to be waiting for signal.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy event and concert tickets in Nepal?
Tickets in Nepal are sold in several places: Kata Jaam?, Khalti, eSewa, Ticket Sanjal, eTicketNepal, Thuprai, KGarira and the organizers' own websites, and some shows still sell only by message or at the door. Each seller lists only its own shows. This page lists every upcoming show with tickets in one place and says where each one is bought.
How do I pay for tickets online in Nepal?
It depends on the seller. On Kata Jaam? you pay by scanning a Fonepay QR with your bank's mobile app, so no wallet or card is needed. Khalti and eSewa sell through their own wallets, and other sites take wallets, mobile banking or cards. Each event page shows the seller before you pay.
Is it safe to buy tickets from someone on Instagram or WhatsApp?
Buy from the seller the organizer names, not from a stranger reselling a screenshot. A ticket bought online is usually a QR code that can be scanned only once, so a copy sold to two people gets one of them turned away at the door. When an organizer sells by message, their own account is the one to buy from, and every event here links to it.
How much do concert tickets cost in Nepal?
In the events listed here over the last six months, half of the paid music nights cost between NPR 500 and 1,000, and nightlife parties were usually around NPR 1,000. Big international concerts run much higher, up to about NPR 30,000 for VIP. About four in ten events in Nepal are free. Each event page shows the price when the organizer has announced it.
I'm an organizer. How do I sell tickets for my event?
List the event free on Kata Jaam? and turn on tickets. Buyers pay by bank app, you check them in with a free QR scanner, and it costs 5 % all-in with nothing added for the buyer. The sell-tickets page has the details, and the ticketing comparison covers every other option in Nepal.
Selling tickets for your own event?
Kata Jaam? sells tickets for 5 % all-in, buyers pay with any bank app, and the QR scanner for the door is free.
