Guarded by the eight Ganeshas and protected by the town’s prime deity Chandeshwori, Banepa has stories waiting to be discovered. Natively known as Bhonta, this historic town lies along the ancient trade route connecting Nepal Mandal (Kathmandu) with Tibet. Until the medieval period, it served as an important trading hub and administrative centre. In this walk, we will explore the stories, alleys, and the history of Banepa and discover lesser known sites. Route: Layaku > Thanapati Narayan Complex > Swodha Tole > Nhu Baha > Waku > Chandeshwori Temple Date: November 21, 2026 Time: 11 PM to 2 PM Registration: Rs. 750/- Redstring x Youth Heritage Society The guiding language will be Nepali.
