• Fat Monk's Rooftop Bar — arguably the best cocktail program in Thamel; the view opens right over Thamel Chowk. Good for dates, decent for groups.
• The Address Lounge — polished, spacious seating, valley-wide panorama. Slightly pricier but consistent.
• Bimba — plant-heavy, chill music, unpretentious. Good for a long slow evening rather than a big night out.
• Sky Lounge — busier, DJ-led, tourist-heavy. Packed on weekends.
• Sam's Bar Rooftop — the old guard; unchanged for twenty years and better for it.

Jhamsikhel rooftops

• Moksh — the only rooftop in the valley that consistently programmes live jazz. Intimate, beautiful on clear nights.
