Catan Cash Tournament

Announcing the 7th Edition of the PATAN CATAN CASH TOURNAMENT #7 Kathmandu Board Games Society is a community of table-top board games and card games, and we organize regular game nights every Wed/Sun. We are hosted by Nextdoor, in Kupondole & Thamel. This Cash Tournament format is inspired by the work of Catan Community on discord. We are reintroducing the tournament after a series of six editions organized since 2021. Settler of Patan commits to the following for the Cash Tournament: 1. 60%+ of all funds collected are distributed to the winners. 2. Each player plays at least two games. Those who advance to knockouts play two more games. If we get more than 32 participants, we will redesign the tournament to include QuarterFinals. LEAGUE QUALIFIERS: Saturday, 1st August 2026 Check in open - 11.30 AM. Registration and check-in closes at 1 PM Each player plays any two qualifying rounds from scheduled games: 12PM, 1.30PM, 3PM All games have a time limit: 2 minutes to place initial settlements and 1 minute each turn RANKING: After the Qualifiers, we will rank players based on games won, points secured & points weightage. Players ranking 1-16 are all “Tournament Semi Finalists” and play the first round of knockouts. Winners (ranked #1 in each semifinal) are Tournament Finalists and play for the championship. Runner Ups (ranked #2 in each semifinal) are “Plate Finalists” and qualify for the Plate Finals. FINALS: Sunday, 2nd August 2026 Tournament Semi Finals are played at 6pm on 2nd August Tournament Final & Plate Final are played at 7.30pm on 2nd August. These cash prizes are demonstrative.
