Two documentaries on Nepal's stolen and scattered sacred art, screened as part of Taragaon Next's exhibition "What Empire Took, What Empire Left: Museums, Borders and the Politics of Return in South Asia". Have You Seen My Gods? follows a filmmaker back to Kathmandu as the Laxmi Narayan statue, stolen in the 1980s, resurfaces in a US museum and is repatriated. Shiva Linga: A Visual Quest (Deepak Tolange) traces the provenance of a copper-gilded Chaturmukh Shiva Linga kosh held in Berlin's Museum für Asiatische Kunst. Friday 25 Sep, 5:00 PM onwards.
