Halloween Parties in Kathmandu

The scene is pure nightlife. Expect ticketed and pay-at-door costume parties at the Thamel and Durbarmarg clubs and bars, usually across the weekend nearest to 31 October rather than just the night itself. DJs run the floor, venues theme the room, and best-costume competitions with bar-tab prizes are common.

It leans expat and younger-local, and the effort on costumes is genuinely high, so it's worth dressing up. A handful of Thamel shops stock masks and costume pieces in the run-up if you leave it late. As with any big club night here, book the ticketed ones ahead and sort your ride home before you head out.
